Cream for treatment of Scabies

Even-though Scabies mites are transmittable from one individual to another and can be easily spread among members of same house hold, people with scabies should know that this skin condition can be treated successfully. There are several known reasons why humans get scabies. The immune suppressive conditions, stress as well as unhealthy habits are most common reasons for scabies transmission.

Treatment of scabies mostly depends on the severity. Your doctor can prescribe daily use of harsh antibiotics or suggest to use home made remedies. As the disease is created by the scabies, a parasite that lives in our skin, the way to treat the condition is to exterminate the parasite completely. In small number of serious infestation cases antibiotics are necessary but in many cases lice shampoo can be used to treat head scabies, medicated cream or body made with sulfur, neem oil and lemon grass often used as alternative treatment. Antibiotics are harsh for the skin and chemicals have side effects. Therefore, such products should be used temporarily as preventative measure to stop the skin infection caused by scabies. Treatment with natural otc products is what can kill scabies and help your skin to rehabilitate from post scabies conditions.

One of the most often used treatments that can function as a neurotoxin, extremely effective as a scabies treatment, is called permethrin. A large number of pharmaceuticals use permethrin cream specifically against scabies condition. You should pay attention on the time and quantity of using this component though for it is toxic for humans too in large amounts and in highly concentrated forms of cream.

Natural tea tree oil is also a very popular ingredient, mainly found in biological anti scabies creams. Lately however one can find it also in pharmaceutical creams for the natural secretions of the tea tree oil are proven very effective in fighting scabies. Beside everything, is also very beneficial for the skin.

Neem oil is natural oil that is quite toxic to the scabies. Like all insects, scabies parasites breathe through their skin. High toxicity natural oils can be a very good way to exterminate these parasites without damaging the patient’s skin. Scabies, like all living creatures tend to become resistant to other conventional antibiotics and pesticides. That is not the case for neem oil. It is a treatment used for many centuries now with these parasites founding a way around it yet.

· Another effective method is bleach it is difficult however to find this component in a cream. One should however be very careful on how to use it for it can damage the skin if used in excessive degree. As a home made method is very cheep but one should never used bleach undiluted on the skin. Before using this method is better to consult with someone that has used this method or your doctor. The usual dose is 3 parts clear water to 1 part common bleach.

Using sulfur together with Vaseline is another effective old recipe against scabies. Beside the actual extermination of the scabies, it also efficiently treats the itching and scratching that the infestation creates. Keep in mind however that the sulphur and vaseline mix tends to have a very strong odour that may not be easily tolerated by everyone.

As a conclusion one can say that there are many topical otc treatments against scabies. The right treatment for every single individual needs to be checked separately. Natural - biological creams can be more effective than chemical - pharmaceutical products. Natural creams are safer in terms of health issues, their action is not effected by the action of other drugs a person may be taking and natural anti scabies creams are definitely friendlier to the skin.

There are several creams out there to choose from but if one can make a suggestion, that would be the Scabiesin cream for body and facial scabies made by Ovante for it truly represent what is best in terms of scabies natural treatment. Using this cream and paying attention to the hygiene of the skin and the environment and you will need nothing else.

  1. i tried rubbing alcohol and cream with sulfur to kill scabies and had no luck. i think rubbing alcohol is ok as a preventative measure as far as to kill secondary infection caused by scabies but as far as symptoms (itching etc) the rubbing alcohol did not help to stop the skin itch. the sulfur on another hand made my skin very oily, i think because first when you apply cream with sulfur your skin gets realy dry but than your body make more oil and it feeds the scabies mites. cream with neem oil and the lemon grass is what realy help me to kill the scabies
